Centralians, make way for the queen!
Hitomi Pangilinan, a second-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering at Central Philippine University, is the new Miss MDC Globe International. The pageant was held in New Delhi, India, last January 7, 2024. Miss Pangilinan competed against 22 National Delegates from 20 different countries where she emerged victorious, bringing home the crown.

CPU President Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy gave an inspiring welcoming remarks during the College Orientation.
Central Philippine University (CPU) warmly welcomed freshmen and transferees for the second semester of A.Y. 2023-2024 through an in-person college orientation held last January 23, 2024, at the EMC Conference Room. The jam-packed day, running from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, provided a comprehensive introduction to campus life, academic expectations, and essential university services for the new Centralians.

In a captivating clash of intellect, the Prosecutors Debate Organization of Central Philippine University and the San Agustin Debate League of the University of San Agustin engaged in a friendly debate match at the Alumni Promenade Concert Park last January 24, 2024. CPU Republic is hosting the Centralian Fair at the Alumni Promenade Concert Park and College Buildings from January 23 to 26, 2024. This event brings together student groups to showcase creativity, support outreach projects, and enjoy camaraderie. All organizations and fraternities are encouraged to set up booths, providing an opportunity to manage finances for future outreach endeavors.

Remington Salaya, who obtained his degree in BS in Chemical Engineering cum laude from Central Philippine University (CPU) in 2014, has received a Graduate Research Assistantship Fellowship for a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Alberta, a top-ranking university in Canada. His fellowship covers his tuition and fees, living allowance, and research expenses. He is currently a member of the Pipeline Transport Processes research group.
