CPU students embark on Language and Cultural journey in Taiwan

CPU students presented the Philippines and CPU wearing their Barong and Filipiñiana.

Four students from Central Philippine University recently undertook a ten-day language learning and cultural immersion program at the National Taipei University of Education (NTUE) in Taipei. The initiative builds upon CPU’s virtual participation in NTUE’s language and culture program in 2021.

CPU President visits the site of the Hopevale Martyrs

CPU President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy with Rev. Francis Neil G. Jalando-on and wife Hermely at the Cathedral in the Glen, Hopevale.

On December 18, 2023, CPU President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy, along with CPUAAI President Atty. Jeremy V. Bionat, participated in the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the martyrdom of a group of American Baptist missionaries at the historic site known as “Hopevale” in the hills of Katipunan, Brgy. Aglinab, Tapaz, Capiz. The Convention of Philippine Baptist Churches organized this significant event.

Engr. Ivan Legele Cachopero, the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of Central Philippine University’s (CPU) Electrical and Mechanical Systems, achieved a significant milestone by passing the Technical Evaluation for the upgrading as a Professional Mechanical Engineer in December 2023.

CPU Work Students come together for the CPUWSAAI Homecoming 2023

CPU Alumni Work Students of varied age groups attended the Homecoming 2023.

The CPU Work Students Alumni Association (CPUWSAAI) celebrated a joyful Homecoming 2023, showcasing remarkable enthusiasm and cooperation among its organizers and members. The event, held on December 18, 2023, at the Conference Room, CPU Educational Media Center, brought together alumni from various batches and locations, including notable figures such as Dr. Teodoro C. Robles, former President of Central Philippine University, and Engr. Ed Cañuto, Member of the CPU Board of Trustees and owner of Ephrata Farms.

Last December 6, 2023 the College of Arts and Sciences of Central Philippine University established a mini-library in Iwa-Macatol Elementary School, located in Brgy. Macatol, Pototan, Iloilo. The activity was in response to the letter of School Principal Ms. Sheree B. Biarneza. According to her, the school has a poor academic performance, some students are non-readers due to lack of instructional materials.
