As many of you know I have been a volunteer web developer for the CPU since
nearly the beginning. I have been blessed to be able to meet some of
America's best and brightest cannabis activists who have joined the CPU.
As of late, I have been extremely busy, pulled in too many directions with
little time to spare for even my beloved fiance, Jill. I haven't been able
to give the CPU the attention it deserves. I am quickly realizing that I
cannot simply wait to have time, I must MAKE time.
I believe in the CPU, it's leaders and members. No other cannabis
organization in the world, does what we do here. NONE, not NORML, not the
ASA, not anyone. The CPU is a proactive group dedicated to the individual
protection of it's members. This is a new approach to protecting our rights,
NORML, the ASA, the MPP, they all work in the background. They work towards
changing laws, petitions and protests, public education and awareness. These
are fantastic goals to be sure, but not one of these groups would come and
help battle for their members in a courtroom or raise money for the families
victimized by Police and the DEA.
The CPU is still young and unsteady on it's feet. We need bright young
leaders of conscience and dedication to make the dream a reality. We, as a
UNION, have a responsibility, to ourselves and to our Local and National
Chapters, to spread the word about the CPU on every level and to LEARN
everything we can so that we may be victorious in public and private debate.
I thank you for your time and dedication to the CPU. You are the heart and
soul of the Union. I am honored to stand beside you as patriots and free
people. MAKE time, SPREAD the word, LEARN! With your help, this Union will
flourish and prosper so that all cannabis users nationwide can receive the
individual protection, they deserve.
Thank you,
Rev. Kevin Loring
