cfe aborts in Manjaro linux

I have tried to build CPSeis in various popular linux distros, but alas the latest Manajo (as of June 2024) is no go. cfe aborts when starting with a segfault. After a few days of investigation, it seems java is getting a corrupt graphics configuration. I built CPSeis with java versions 11, 17 and 21 and got the same error.

Being a rolling distro, it has latest versions of most things. However, CPSeis does work in Tumbleweed, another rolling distro with almost the same versions of components as Manjaro.

So I am wondering are there other users who like to have the latest linux, rather than the stable distros such as Centos or Debian, and have encountered cfe crashing?
