Currently, my remote laptops are not domain members but use Windows VPN client to connect. I am planning on joining them to the domain and changing over to OpenVPN AS and clients. Even this configuration leaves a bit to be desired. That is why I was looking at Synergix ADCE.
Hi, I just want to add my 5 cents. After migrating tot SBS2011 we experienced severe logon and startup delays with a VPN connected laptop. We run a small business with a single AD domain server and have a small satellite office connected through VPN. Having the laptop connect in the main office, never a problem. Connection from the remote location took forever sometimes over 20 minutes to boot. Having installed the synergix ADCE product basically solved that issue for us.
