Subject: RA Position --> Please Circulate
Dear colleagues,
I request your help to circulate this call for applicants for a Research Associate (RA) position. Please see the job description attached.
We are searching for an outstanding RA to assist with qualitative field research for our study of women-centred police reforms in Madhya Pradesh, in collaboration with the Madhya Pradesh Police Department.
We are looking for someone with the skills, enthusiasm and maturity to perform intensive fieldwork on the subject of women’s security in a challenging environment. The RA position will involve conducting intensive qualitative research on the implementation of a new government program to improve police responsiveness to women within select police stations. The position is for three months (December 2018 – February 2019) with the possibility of extension, and it will be based in Madhya Pradesh (Bhopal, with some travel to other districts). The position requires fluency in Hindi as well as evidence of prior field research experience. The RA will receive training on qualitative field methods (e.g. interviews, focus group discussions and ethnographic observation), though we prefer someone who already has some of these skills.
Interested candidates should e-mail me a CV and 1-page letter of interest. Many thanks for your help.
Best regards,
Akshay
