Dear all,

We will be hosting the editors of Climate Policy for a discussion with early career researchers and scholars on publishing in academic journals. It will be an interactive session so it will be a good opportunity to ask some questions of ins-and-outs of publishing academically.

Please feel free to forward the invite to other young researchers that will also be interested.

Sincerely,

Ankit

The Centre for Policy Research and The Energy and Resources Institute are pleased to invite you to an

Interactive Session for Early Career Scholars

with
Professor Michael Grubb - Founding Editor, Climate Policy
Dr. Joanna Depledge - Editor, Climate Policy

Wednesday, 19 December 2018, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m (with tea at 4:30 p.m.)

TERI Office, India Habitat Centre

CPR and TERI are pleased to host an interactive session for early career scholars with Professor Michael Grubb and Dr. Joanna Depledge, Founding Editor and Editor of the journal Climate Policy respectively. If you are interested in participating, please RSVP in this form

During the session, participants will have the opportunity to engage with Prof. Grubb and Dr. Depledge on emerging research areas and big questions going forward in energy and climate change. Prof. Grubb and Dr. Depledge will also provide guidance from the point of view of journal editors on what they look for in a submitted article, and how to shape research to publishable quality.

For those unfamiliar, Climate Policy is a leading international and interdisciplinary peer-reviewed academic journal, publishing high quality research and analysis on all aspects of climate change policy, including adaptation and mitigation, governance and negotiations, policy design, implementation and impact, and the full range of economic, social and political issues at stake in responding to climate change. We encourage participants to familiarise themselves with the content and debates in the journal before attending.

Professor Michael Grubb, the Founding Editor of the journal Climate Policy, is currently Professor of Energy and Climate Change at the Institute of Sustainable Resources at University College London. He is currently chair of the UK government’s Panel of Technical Advisors on Energy Market Reform and is a Convening Lead Author for the Sixth IPCC Assessment Report.

Dr. Joanna Depledge is currently the Editor of Climate Policy and Senior Fellow at the Centre for Environment, Energy and Nature Resource Governance (C-EENRG), which is part of the University of Cambridge (UK). Her main research interest lies in international climate change politics, and global environmental negotiations more broadly.
