Dear Ms Eesha Kunduri,

Greetings!

The Right to the City Campaign India was launched in 2014. Globally the inclusion of the Right to the City in the New Urban Agenda in 2016 was significant though watered down. As we continue working on securing the right to the city through our varied interventions, the campaign felt it necessary to meet to deliberate and discuss the current articulation of right to the city in the Indian context. With this in mind the Right to the City Campaign is organizing a national workshop titled "Realising the Right to City in India"on 16 & 17 April 2018 in New Delhi in collaboration with Centre for Urban Policy and Governance, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) and Youth for Unity And Voluntary Action (YUVA).
Date: 16 and 17 April 2018
Venue: University of Chicago Centre, Ground Floor, DLF Capitol Point Building, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Near Hanuman Temple, Connaught Place, New Delhi

Over the two days practitioners, activists and academics from across India aim to engage in a dialogue over pertinent questions around Housing and Land, Economy Opportunity and Livelihoods, 'Public' Streets and Transport, Urban Commons and Ecological Services, and Local Governance and Participation.

A concept note and detailed schedule for the two day workshop is attached along with this email for your reference.

We look forward to your participation and discussions during the workshop. Kindly confirm if you would be able join us for the workshop.

Warm Regards
On behalf of the organizing team

Dear All,

As you might be aware CPR has launched a new talk series on technology and its impact on society in collaboration with IIC and NITI Aayog called Metamorphoses. The first of the nine interactions (to be spread over a year) is on May 2 - a keynote by Prof. Yochai Benkler from Harvard to set the tone for the series. Some of you expressed interest in knowing more about this initiative. Dhruv and I (we conceptualised this) would be happy to hold a discussion on this before the keynote should an adequate number of people be interested. Do RSVP to me directly and we will block the time.

We will also take this opportunity to harness the enthusiasm of those of you who might be interested to contribute to learning videos, the website blog posts etc. - all of which have been envisioned as part of this series.

Look forward,
Richa.
