C++ developer

Charlotte, NC

6 months

Please note: Last time around the manager required a face to face interview

Senior Developer 6 months Plus.

· Strong C++, object-oriented programming background, including:

o Experience with the C++ Standard Template Library

o Experience with Overloaded Functions

o Experience with Pointers, particularly Smart Pointers such as std::shared_ptr or boost library equivalent

o Experience and understanding of using exceptions and exception handling

o Experience with Input/Output with various filetypes

o Experience with writing and using template functions and classes

o Familiarity with Dynamic Linked Libraries

o Familiarity with Database Connections within C++

o Familiarity with GUI functionality

· In particular, experience with financial programming is required preferably in an Insurance or Financial Institutional setting

· Communicates status on daily basis with TIAA-CREF lead assigned to project

This is a complex financial application that requires deep skills and familiarity with finance as well as an ability to independently examine code and articulate questions for the actuarial team to help build their familiarity with the calculations.
