Fwd: AGM of WC Canoe Union

Hi

A reminder firstly of the social polo on Wednesday after the elections. I have a braai master, but could really do with a few extra pairs of hands to help wash the odd car inbetween playing polo.

Secondly, it is the Western Cape Canoe Union AGM on Thursday evening 7pm at Peninsula Canoe Club near Muizenburg. We need someone from the club or friend of the club to please attend this meeting. I will be there, but as I am the vice-chair for the union I cannot vote on behalf of the club, so I need an extra polo person to vote for the club.

The Annual General Meeting of the Western Cape Canoe Union will be held on Thursday 8^th May 2014 at the Peninsula Canoe Club at 7pm. 

                                               

All Exco committee members as well as interested WCCU paddlers are invited to attend this meeting.   Pls note that only members in good standing i.e. registered and paid up 2014 members of the WCCU and their clubs will be allowed to participate in this meeting. 

 

Nominations for the Management/Executive Committee and Sub-Committees  as well as motions for discussion will be taken by e-mail (see extract from WCCU Constitution below).  For more information on the requirements pls contact the Executive Secretary by e – mail:  ad...@wpcanoe.org.za.  Pls ensure that your submissions are accepted for the AGM by following the procedure for notices of motion below and that they are received timeously.  Late submissions will not be accepted.  Final date for submissions is 23^rd April 2014.  The constitution is available for perusal on www.wpcanoe.org.za

 

                “Notices of motion to be raised must be in writing and signed by the Chairman or Secretary of a club, or by the Chairman or Secretary of the Officials Committee, or by not less than three registered paid-up club members.  It must reach a member of the Management Committee not less than 14 clear days before the meeting.

 

A copy of the agenda as well as the motions for discussion will be circulated 10 days before the meeting for your perusal.

I stay quite close to Peninsula Canoe Club so I will be happy to attend the AGM for the club. 

 

I unfortunately will have to work on Wednesday but I will try pop in for some of the festivities.
