The Annual General Meeting of the Western Cape Canoe Union will be held on Thursday 8th May 2014 at the Peninsula Canoe Club at 7pm.
All Exco committee members as well as interested WCCU paddlers are invited to attend this meeting. Pls note that only members in good standing i.e. registered and paid up 2014 members of the WCCU and their clubs will be allowed to participate in this meeting.
Nominations for the Management/Executive Committee and Sub-Committees as well as motions for discussion will be taken by e-mail (see extract from WCCU Constitution below). For more information on the requirements pls contact the Executive Secretary by e – mail: ad...@wpcanoe.org.za. Pls ensure that your submissions are accepted for the AGM by following the procedure for notices of motion below and that they are received timeously. Late submissions will not be accepted. Final date for submissions is 23rd April 2014. The constitution is available for perusal on www.wpcanoe.org.za
“Notices of motion to be raised must be in writing and signed by the Chairman or Secretary of a club, or by the Chairman or Secretary of the Officials Committee, or by not less than three registered paid-up club members. It must reach a member of the Management Committee not less than 14 clear days before the meeting.
A copy of the agenda as well as the motions for discussion will be circulated 10 days before the meeting for your perusal.
