Can any one provide examples of orders/CDS you may have built for POM/
CPOE to deal with registration functions?

Admit to Service, Physician, Location, Patient Type?

Thank you,

We have our order sets built by level of care so I default in answers as to location, dx, etc.   Physicians can change as needed but it is all about fewer clicks and entries for them.  This works well because we can also default “Observation” on certain sets, ex. Chest Pain and they can change as needed.  This has helped with RAC audits.  Con would be that this set-up requires mapping new dx queries as we add them to clinical panels, canned text, etc.
