That is certainly good news. That corner has needed help for a very long time. I have been out of country and traveling too much to keep up to speed on that area. Nothing further on Wendy's deal ( it has taken too long without any movement to give me hope that anything is really transpiring there).
WaWa should proceed without too many issues. IF we can get something of value on the Wendy's site, coupled with the auto store and a glitzy WaWa, who knows, we may have the beginning of some clean up on Colonial.
Now if we could only get our Commish and Daisy Lynum to come together and become a driving force to clean up this gateway to our City Beautiful we may have a chance, but I don't hold my breath. Both are too involved in themselves and their personal agendas to show the leadership and vision to clean up this DMZ we call Colonial Drive. Maybe by next election time we can have some new leadership who has the courage to stand up for our community rather than the low hanging fruit which makes for good photo ops but does little to move forward our community. I can only hope.
