In short, the meeting went well. We were able to identify the issues and are more clear on where some of the responsibility lies. We laid some groundwork with both City Planning and 7-Eleven to help with gateway project. 7-Eleven seems to be well aware of the location issues and has staffed the location with a manager that has worked in "urban" locations - her name is Sandy. Sandy and her staff are doing hourly patrols around the property and contacting OPD to remove people - that have had 17 removals so far, so they are being diligent.

Many of our safety concerns have/are being addressed - details to follow.

As I said, the meeting went well, there were 10-11 of us - Donn did most of the talking at first and did a great job in covering all of our concerns. The city planner pushed back a little at first, but once the dialog began, quickly realized that we are trying to work with all parties for solutions and became helpful.

We need to put something together for the newsletter so Don and I can put together better details of the discussion and send them to you in a separate email.

Sorry for the scattered thoughts. Just wanted to give you guys a short update. Positive progress!
