THE FINAL COUNTDOWN

Dear Loco Trendsetters

The time has come and we are pretty much there... next wednesday the first of the core crew will be up at the site, placing the container and starting to pitch camp. 

There has been a lot of info flying around, we appreciate it's not easy to always get your head around it all. Thanks for your patience. Please consider the following final and IMPORTANT points:

• You need to be self sufficient. Do not expect CPL to provide anything for you except a good time. Bring your own cutlery, mugs, plates, booze, water, suncream, esky's, money for ice, mixers, etc etc etc. Any facilities that we have at camp are there for you to use but they are infrastructure only (i.e. kitchen tent, BBQ, sink) and you need to support this infrastructure with your own gear. For example, taking ice from the camp bin for your own esky is the height of bad manners. Expect a post from Alex Gill regarding kitchen stuff.
• The roster is almost full but has now been expanded sightly. Thank you for hearing us our on our grievances. There is still space for your name. Do it. (The roster is on the tabs at the bottom of the crew list spreadsheet for those who haven't found it yet)
• Read the Eclipse survival guide. It is going to be an extreme environment. Prepare yourself.
• Remember your costumes for our three parties. Everyone in full get-up = Amazing environment
• Early Arrival: The names at the bottom of this list will be granted early access under the name 'Coco Poco Loco Crew'. You need to give this name along with your photo ID to gain early access. We have done well in getting 61 people in early. If you wanted to get in early but your name is not on this list we apologise, we have done the best we can and you may have arrived late in the piece. • Consider the environment and Leave No Trace. Bring your own garbage bags. Get rid of as much outer wrappings of stuff whilst you are still in Cairns. Consolidate food and gear with other people. Do not litter when on site. Clean up after yourself. 
• Expect to help with the packdown Friday. People have (at past events) not attended packdowns and perhaps have felt nobody has noticed. It gets noticed. Your lack of being there is very strongly felt. You may not feel like doing it but neither does anyone else; the only thing that gets us over the line is our collective energy that comes from seeing other people digging deep and getting on with it. Please do the right thing: get a grip, set your teeth against your comedown/hangover and muck in. You will feel better afterwards. ;-) 
• WE LOVE YOU. Thank you for making this all happen. We couldn't do it without you. You're awesome. We're going to have a great time.
