Dear All,

In response to the overwhelming request for using the Geographically and Temporally Weighted Regression(GTWR) model (Huang et al., 2010, IJGIS),

I’m happy to let you know that  an ArcGIS Addin (GTWR Beta 1.0) has been developed and is now available at:

http://www.grm.cuhk.edu.hk/~huangbo/GTWR/GTWR_AddIn.rar

or

https://yunpan.cn/cPd2mzhpq6Jw9   Password: ee21

Attached pls find an introduction of the software. If you are interested in a collaboration involving GTWR, pls drop me a message.

Cheers,

Bo

Symposium: Ecohydrology and Watershed Management  - call for papers

Dear CPGIS Colleagues:

Below is an invitation to you all.

The 12th International Congress of Ecology organized by INTECOL will be held in Beijing, August 21-25, 2017.  ( http://www.intecol2017.org/dct/page/70010). The theme of the congress is Ecology and Civilization in a Changing World, which will focus on harmonious and sustainable development among people, nature, and society in the context of global development.
I am organizing a Symposium: “Ecohydrology and Watershed Management “ and solicit your participation and support!
Climate change and human activities have unprecedentedly altered the hydrological processes and ecosystem services of arid regions of  the world, affecting the welfare of over 2.5 billion people . Understanding the interactions and impacts of such coupled human and natural systems on eco-hydrological processes at the watershed scale is essential for addressing and adapting to global environmental change.

The overall goal of this symposium is to bring scientists, scholars, and practitioners together to address the impacts of global environmental change on processes and patterns of eco-hydrology and corresponding adaptive strategies at the watershed and regional scales. Topics focus on, but not limited to: Climate change and hydrological cycle, ecohydrological processes and landscape patterns, land use/cover change and water quality, afforestation and sedimentation processes, agricultural nonpoint source pollution, hydrological modeling of watershed processes at multiple scales, water transfer schemes and changes in water regimes, urbanization and urban floods, integrated water resources management, water pricing and water conservation, valuation of ecosystem services, and water allocation and ecosystem services. The objectives of the symposium are: 1) present cutting edge theories, methods, and technologies; 2) foster interactions among symposium participants; 3) explore comprehensive solutions to achieve water sustainability; and 4) promote adaptive strategies to global environmental change.

If interested, please send me an email, indicating your Name, Institution, and Tentative Title of your presentation by Sept. 15, 2016.

Thank you in advance for your support!  I look forward to your reply!

Best regards,

Chansheng

Dear Riley,

Thanks for using our Geographically and Temporally Weighted Regression (GTWR) model and software. The GTWR add-in has now been updated with a new matrix library and is available at

https://www.researchgate.net/publication/311544267_GTWR_Add-in_Update1 (Download beside ‘Recommend Data’)

If you encounter the problem “msvcr100.dll is missing…..” when running the add-in, pls download this dll from the Microsoft website at:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784

Sorry for the long time taken to fix the problems.

Best rgds,

Bo Huang
