Dear all,

 

Pleasure in announcing Coffeday beverages campus recruitment process.

CCD is looking for people who are aspiring for sales career in B2B segment.

Communication will be the key role in the selection process .

CTC : 5.1 LPA

Interested students can send your nominations to the studentplacement team.

Deadline : Oct 20, 10.00am

The placement season is a little tiring and trying. Be strong and have strong opinions. Always keep in mind the Person-Job-Fit. Now, let us get to business.

It is known that Coffee Day Beverages (CDB) will be visiting our campus in a couple of days, Coffee Day Beverages is a division of ABCTCL (Google for full form) that deals with Vending machines;if you have not yet googled Coffee Day - Now will be the right time to.

Please get your basics in place - The sales process, Steps in a sales call, Mapping are a few you would want to look at

Kindly write down an answer in your own words and be prepared for the very famous question

"What is the difference between Marketing and Selling?" Also see - What is marketing ?, What is selling?

Kindly make an ardent effort to prepare the answer in words of your own - Avoid definitions where ever possible (Only when you get the definition right, you can make up your own answer)

 

There will be two rounds - 1. Group Discussion 2. Personal Interview.

Group Discussion

CDB looks for initiative, it would be foolish to initiate just for the sake of it and not make a point
CDB looks for strong opinions, at the same time be willing to accept a logical counter

CDB looks for a good communicator, not a orator - A communicator actively communicates while he still actively listens

Personal Interview

CDB looks for character, training can always be given

CDB looks for attitude, the rest can be taught

Answers to a few FAQ's that I have compiled after my interactions with some of you

1. You cannot go home at 5pm; You only know that your job starts at 9.30

2. Travel should be your best friend; CDB does not recommend tele marketing

3. Sales is not a comfortable job; Shiv Kera says "People who make it big in life are people with two skills - 1. People skills 2.Selling skills"

4. Sales is target oriented; A target is like the donkey and the carrot story

5. In sales an office is where you report and the field is where you work
