CBEC,  through its public awareness program, had published a notification
in major national news paper in which it clarified that the mutual fund
agent or distributor is not liable to pay service tax. The published
notification clearly states that the liability to pay service tax is with
the mutual fund and the asset management companies. Where as since April
2015 the service tax is being deducted from the brokerages.  Many mutual
fund advisors have emailed AMCs asking for a clarification but none of the
advisors have received any clarification from them. The AMCs are not
providing us the notification of CBEC which allows them to deduct service
tax from us.



Its time to stand united and ask what is our right.



Its time to show them that mutual fund advisors can be united too and can
stand for their rights.



Its time to get united because   TOGETHER WE CAN.
