Joining this Google Group

The cpcl Google Group (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/cpcl) can be read by the public, but you need to be a member of the group in order to post or use the e-mail interface. This topic outlines the process for becoming a member of the group.

You need a Google account to join the group; if you use Gmail you already have one. If you don't have one, visit https://accounts.google.com/Signup and create one - it's free but you'll need an e-mail account (it doesn't have to be Gmail). Once you have a Google account, use it to sign in when you visit this Google Group (see the Sign In button at the top right). 

You should then see an 'Apply to join group' button (provided you are not already a member) above the topics. Click this and fill out the form. Please choose a Display Name so members can identify you when you post - anonymous posts and secret monikers (e.g. 'FlyingBanana') are not tolerated. Choose how much notification you want via e-mail (see the following para). Use the text field to say why you want to be a member so we know you are interested in paragliding or hang gliding, not spamming the current members. Your application to join should be approved shortly.

Depending on the e-mail notification you choose, you may interact with the Google Group only via e-mail (instead of visiting the web-page). To post a new topic via e-mail, just send it to cp...@googlegroups.com. 

PS If you don't answer the questions or provide any justification, your application will be rejected.
