Give away older wings - best use for ground handling practice:

A pilot friend of mine who has no longer  flying has some stuff that might be useful to instructors to use to teach students ground handling. Here’s the list of wings:

 

1 Mistral Twin Tandem (used to be Dave Raybourne's.  Probably worthless.)

1 Apco Simba, small.

1 Apco Bagheera. small

1 Airwave Sport II medium

 

The Airwave Sport II medium is the only one I’d trust for using at someplace like Kiwanda. The other three would be useable as ground pounders.

 

If they do not get any takers I’ll probably donate them to a local Women’s shelter I’ve found for materials to be made into useful things like shopping bags.

 

There’s also two Kenwood TH 22 AT radios and two Flytec 4005 varios that aren’t give-aways, but are up for sale to the highest bidder. Contact me if there’s some interest.

Hey gang,

I have (at least) one wing that falls in the same category as Sarge's original post. It's an antique Edel Super Space II. I would like to give it away for free. The same goes for an ancient Sup' Air beach harness and an APCO glider bag/backpack with a blown-out zipper and holes from a motorcycle crash.

FYI…the club has an inventory of old wings/harnesses/equipment that have been donated.  It’s located in Dave Blizzards barn.  One of these days we will take inventory and publish the list…..

I would appreciate the Airwave Sport II medium wing for practicing at Cape Kiwanda. I'm still working on figuring out how to ridge soar and crab, most of the time the winds get too strong for my 23 m full-sized wing (I'm 140 Lbs ) and I cannot afford a smaller wing.
