Flight Withdrawal. Symptoms include the propensity to blow off work on
the first day back from a paragliding trip for the slimmest
opportunity to fly.

So when Peter Dinsdale called this afternoon and said he hadn't been
to Peterson Butte yet, that was all the excuse I needed. Never mind
that there was no wind.

The bad section of the road is unchanged; you would have trouble
getting up the hill with something other than a pickup or SUV with
some clearance. It will undoubtedly get worse as the season
progresses. We hiked up about half way because we had a late start
and didn't have time to get the whole view. Practiced our forward
launch skills and had to run quite a ways down the hill to get
airborne. Plenty of room for contingencies, so all went well. Took
our time packing up because the end of the day was so beautiful, and
called Doug to let him know we were going to be a few minutes after
sundown before we could drive out. He said he appreciated the call.

I have negotiated the bad section of road at PB in my fairly low-clearance
VW Jetta (last weekend, and 2 weekends before that).

It is getting bad, and it has to be looked at and then a path chosen
carefully, but it is negotiable in regular cars. I agree that it will get
worse.

I am willing to bring a shovel and help fix it, but we might want to get a
group to buy some gravel for that section.
