I am in. I also have good chainsaw and some falling experience. Also
have room in 5 seat truck for gear and others from Vancouver if
someone wants to ride along.
My first post. Jase.
> > This is the very short version of the Toutle update. By the end of this week we should have permission to cut down a LIMITED number of Douglas fir trees (about 20) and a LIMITED number of red alder trees & brush. I will have the official permission from Weyerhaeuser once my check in payment for these specific trees (and the 15+ other Douglas firs that have been felled over years) has cleared. I will share all the specifics at the CPC meeting and on these lists after the meeting. We will have a limited window in which to accomplish this. I'm shooting for Saturday, July 11, if we can get enough folks with the appropriate gear (and expertise - I've never handled a chainsaw) to commit to taking care of what needs doing. From here on in we are very much on Weyerhaeuser's radar screen and it is imperative that everything be done within the boundaries they have set. That means that we cannot have anyone volunteering to get an early start and/or cutting the wrong trees down. I am looking forward to seeing everyone next Tuesday. Jan- Hide quoted text -
