No turned right,b ody missed much, it was strong when i got there and Rune was off to pick up Rob at the hang LZ, so I waited. It did back off a bit and i launched into initially a good bit of lift right off launch, and turnedto cross back across the ridge but hit massive sink and ended up landing inthe bull field across from donkey lz. I think the reason was that although it seemed it was coming fairly straight up, it was much more west, hence no lift on my downwind turn. Rune had a good flight and I think he and Rob got 800' over launch. Eric showed up and took off in strongish conditions, and i stuck around to watch him fly and give support. He got up well above launch, and probably could've flown longer.

Yeah I could have definitely flown longer because it was just about perfect for having a good time EXCEPT my forward penetration was about 4mph and when a gust came through it was about 1mph so I flew for 20 min then pushed out the LZ to see how it was: sinky with the same lack of penetration and what with the forecast saying it would get stronger I decided to be smart and land.  Glad I did because I went back up to launch to watch the onset of the sunset and it had picked up a notch.  Thanks to Doug for waiting around to make sure I got down safe, the car drop, etc.
