Me and David got Arrived at around 10am. After harvesting some
mussels we debated going clamping or flying

. At launch the winds
still had some SSE in them but seemed to be clocking around. Just as it
was looking like it would get good we all started gathering gear, JJ, Vince and
Rick Lai launched. We then noticed the cell which we thought may miss us
to the north come straight at us. Everyone but Rick landed, while the rest
of us ate at Roseannes. I was drooling over what looked like improving
conditions the whole time. We got back to launch, winds were more
SSW but a bit gusty with some straight south coming in. Soon another cell
came in and dumped some more rain on us. We noticed a little window
appearing after it passed and we all got ready and kind of waited in hopes that
something nice would come up the hill. There was a lot of “you first”
going on but after some waiting a few of us got off the hill. The launches
were not ideal as the wind was gusty and not and switching from S to SSW and
sometimes even SW. When we got in the air the penetration was low. I
was going from 0-6 mph into the wind without bar for most of the flight.
The was a tall wide cloud that was starting to develop rain coming in and a big
cell to the south starting to affect winds so we all landed and went to the
Upstairs bar for food and drinks. It was great to see everyone as always
and fun spending much of the day contemplating the pros and cons of getting into
the air given the conditions.
