Hi,

In my original implementation of my internal cpath I was able to change a cytoscape cpath.url property in my cytoscape properties so that when I created a new network from cpath the cpath plugin pointed to my internal instance of cpath.  With my latest build of cpath I was wondering if there was a way to configure File>import->new network from webservice so it points to my internal cpath instance as opposed to the public pathway commons site.

Thanks,

Ruth

Hi Ruth,

Are you now using the cPath2 (pathway commons) plugin ?  If so, you need to modify the cpath2.server_url property in the plugin.props file that lives in the root directory of the project.  If you didn't build cpath2.jar from source, you may be able to take the following steps:

- unjar cpath2.jar
- modify org.cytoscape/coreplugin/cpath2/plugin/plugin.props
- jar cpath2.jar

Let me know how it goes.

Hi Ben,
I tried to unjar and change the paramter in the plugin.props file and re-jar it but when I replace the new jar into the plugin directory and try and launch "Network from webservice" the cpath2 plugin says "There are no network import web service clients installed.".
Also, are there any plans on making this a cytoscape property similiar to the way it was in the original cpath plugin?
Thanks,
Ruth

Hi Ruth,

Currently there are no plans.  If you send me the URL you would like to use, I can create a new jar for you from the source.
