Individuals, groups and non-profit organizations promoting social justice, health & wellness, sustainability and/or access to good food are invited to table (free of charge) at the 2nd Annual Food Justice Summit. The event will take place on Saturday, September 22nd from noon until 7pm at Neighborhood Pride (the old P&C) 210 Hancock Street, downtown Ithaca.

Passive displays and interactive activities welcome. 

We are also looking for food focused projects to feature on the 5 mile walkathon loop.

Ithaca's 2nd Annual Food Justice Summit 

The Food Justice Summit is a multicultural community building celebration and educational event to engage people in building a local food system that supports personal health, community well being, ecological stewardship, economic vitality and access to life-affirming foods for all. 

The summit will include a walk-a-thon in the morning followed by an uplifting street fair with live music, local organic BBQ, culinary demonstrations and youth activities including Gardens 4 Humanity's Junior Iron Chef Competition, vendors with values, speakers and workshops. 

The event is organized by GreenStar Community Projects (the educational non-profit affiliate of GreenStar Market) in partnership with Congo Square Market, Gardens 4 Humanity, GIAC, Multicultural Resource Center, S.T.A.M.P., #TeamUnity, Whole Community Project + many community and campus collaborators.
