I have been using Envato for years and just recently I have had issue with templates getting installed into Wordpress. I installed Wordpress, Elementor and the Envato elements plugin, did the import kit from Elements but nothing is in the Elementor template file. It shows there was something imported (file name) but nothing is in the import. What am I missing, I have done this a TON of times and every time worked fine but in the last 2 days 2 templates acted the same way.
It works fine now but I just wonder if there is anything I have to. I can't find any information on wordpress codex.I just installed WPML and All of templates pages are 404 now. I wonder if it(custom template folder location) causes this 404 pages. cuz woo-commerce pages are showing fine. wc is not in my template folder. it generated by plugin.
As of WordPress 3.4 you can put your page templates in whatever direct subdirectory you need, it doesn't sound like you can put them into sub-sub directories but I haven't tested this.

I've just completed the 'Converting Static HTML into WordPress Templates' module and I've followed along, however I'm building my own website while following, not the 'portfolio' website they use in the example.
stripping the li and ul tags from around the links removes the classes that wordpress uses to style dropdown menus. Enabling this will probably break your formatting if you've designed around only having the anchor tags as in the videos.
So you say the strip tags? I can obviously say where it says echo strip_tags - but which bits should I remove? do i just leave that line saying: wp_nav_menu( $args ) - ? I'll be fine with the CSS, its just this part I'm struggling with.
