> I apologize for the group groan in advance, but is it time to add the google plus SHA to the meta file? I'm thinking 'plus' as the name under the 'profile' section? I'm still unclear where I can find the standard template for this file. Many of the docs point to dated links.
Hi Todd,
Are you talking about this page? https://metacpan.org/account/profile There's already a Google+ section on there, or am I misunderstanding you? (Not a Google+ user)
Best,
Olaf

Olaf,
Thanks for the link. This leads me to more questions:
How do these two links differ?
http://search.metacpan.org/#/author/TODDR
https://metacpan.org/author/TODDR
Did I just stumble onto the wrong page of choice on the first link?
Concerning the first link, It appears that the linked to instructions
for updating my profile is wrong: "How To Update"
Finally, How does my authors-1.1.json file in my pause account relate
to updating data at this link? https://metacpan.org/account/profile
Thanks,
Todd

The first is a pure JS implementation of a search site. It's more limited in scope. The metacpan.org site is where the active development is taking place.

It's just a matter of preference. The JS site is fun, but it doesn't have all of the features of http://metacpan.org

Thank you for this. I have updated the link.

metacpan will prefer the profile you've added on the site over any .json file you've uploaded. The .json file was a bit of a hack to get the ball rolling. Now that authentication is in place, we no longer require it for updating author info.
Hah! I'm much less confused now (about this). Thanks for your help
Olaf. The site's looking really good. Everyone has done a great job!
