The Downtown Denver Partnership, the City and County of Denver and RTD are thrilled to invite you to the 16th Street Grand Opening on October 4, 2025, to celebrate the completion of the 16th Street revitalization project, exactly 43 years after its inaugural opening in 1982.
We’d love to invite you to join us for a momentous day of community celebration beginning at 11 a.m. as we usher in a new era for 16th Street. Highlights include:
REI Scavenger Hunt throughout 16th Street
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with a Guerrilla Fanfare Brass Band Parade & Remarks
"Local Heroes" Music Lineup on the Main Stage with beloved Denver bands and DJs
16th Street Deals of the Day
16th Street Birthday Party with special treats and exclusive 16th Street merch
