Hello,
There looks to be repairs planned for the sidewalk along 9th Avenue at 905 N Ogden Street.
Can we please find out why we're not instead planning to reinstall the sidewalk set-ack away from the roadway?
I see examples of this all over Denver and I feel it's a disservice to the community if we're not intentionally working to install straight sidewalks setback away from the roadways.
I also believe this issue to directly correlate with communities that have higher heat indexes. This happens when a majority of the sidewalks were installed along the curb forcing trees to be installed father away from the street or not at all. By installing sidewalks away from the roadway, we make it safer for pedestrians while leaving space for a tree lawn helping to cool the community.
Why isn't this the priority all over Denver?
Thank you in advance for your help!
Respectfully,
Bryan Wilson
