Yes, I'm requesting a follow-up.

Who is responsible for the installation & potential relocation of bus stop shelters with advertising?

These are all likely now under the management of LAMAR, but it's unclear who is responsible for where they're installed & for their care, like if they're hit by a vehicle.

I'm also asking who is responsible for making sure the minimum sidewalk width or pedestrian access route is achieved for the designated street type. Would this be someone at DOTI?

In the cases of CO Blvd, & Park Ave, I believe that is probably close to 10' like what is being installed along the Broadway at I-25 Project.

Asking for someone from DOTI to follow up with information as to where the required sidewalk widths are posted & when these widths are referenced in the bus shelter installation process.

Thank you in advance.

Respectfully,
Bryan Wilson

Hello,

Thank you for contacting the City & County of Denver on 12/25/2025 regarding your with the work completed by External Agency.
  • Issue: RTD
  • Resolution Comments: Sending email to Bus Stop Issues for assistance. Case will be closed to generate email but does not mean that the situation has been resolved at this time.
  • Description: Hello,

The shelter for bus stop #13060 on Colorado Blvd & 26th Ave was installed
in a sidewalk that I believe is designed as shared-use, despite not being
labeled as such on the Denver Moves: Bikes Updated Map.

    https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/f4fafe1405b6443da158f4d9e257887a__;!!M87Ej6RJKlw!S8Dv36EOSrXncpf6DgKIdIMGx_xp374SHTAuJdGPn3LR2vzGbpDO3LW3ro1-x6sqrVS2a984E8PYhWRZxMHscw$

Requesting that the bikes team update the map confirming that the sidewalk
is a shared-use connection from 23rd to 26th around the City Park Golf
Course, which as no through access for bikes.

Requesting for them to then follow-up with RTD to have the shelter be
    relocated off the sidewalk.

Alternatively, it could be moved slightly closer since the sign is also
creating an obstruction. DOTI could then install a short curved section
taking riders behind the shelter, which probably should have been installed
with the City Park Golf Course project.

Bottom line, there should be a clear path that is 10' wide left
    unobstructed.

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Respectfully,
    Bryan Wilson

If you have further questions, please contact 311.

Thank You,

The City and County of Denver.
