Thank you for the UPDATE!

Will this go through Denver City Council like Lakewood did with their bike plan?

Will DOTI & DPR be required to adhere to minimum standards when installing future facilities?

What can be done to prevent facilities from being obstructed by vehicles or special events & what happens when they are obstructed?
Could we set-up some type of bounty program like NYC?

Lastly, will they be cleared of snow or at least certain designated snow routes?

Thank you in advance!

Respectfully,

Hello again,

Still wondering about answers to my prior questions. Will this be adopted by City Council & apply to DOTI & DPR?

As I hope you're aware, a number of bike routes we're obstructed over the weekend with Pride Fest. What can be done to prevent that from happening or to set up designated detours?
Notice that all the cross walks at 14th St & Bannock to cross Colfax Ave were also blocked.

It seems to me that at minimum we could have kept this crosswalk open as a shared-use crossing simply by shifting the fencing forward.

Ideally, we could have also kept the sidewalk in front of the Denver County Building unobstructed to then connect from here to continue on Bannock Street south of the event.
The result was bike and scooter riders being dumped onto the same streets as the detoured traffic, or riders were illegally using the sidewalks to get around the closures.

What can be done to prevent bike routes from being closed & providing bike specific detours when they must be closed?

Also, what is the best way to address some of the missing connections on the map?

How are riders supposed to connect from the Lowry Blvd Off-street Shared-use Bikeway through Crestmoor Park?

The off-street shared-use Bikeway along Alameda Ave & the branch along Leetsdale looks to have been omitted as an example.

What is the best process to get these added onto the updated map?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello again,

Still wondering how omissions from the Denver Moves Bikes Update will be addressed.

DC Burns Park & the shared-use sidewalk along Alameda are two specific examples.

Could this be addressed at the next DOTI Advisory Board meeting?

Happy to start crowd sourcing a map like I did with the public restrooms & Porta-potties a few years ago. I just think that reporting each individual omission to 311 & then mapping it is overkill.

Lastly, will this update be voted on & approved by Denver City Council to apply to BOTH DOTI & DPR?

Thank you in advance!

Respectfully,
