Hello Bryan Wilson,
My name is Kristen Seidel with TOCA Colorado. I’ve been working with Isabella Nevin at Our Revolution Colorado to help Denver residents better understand the AI surveillance systems currently operating in our city. Many people followed last year’s reporting on Automatic License Plate Readers and Flock, which raised important questions about what technologies are in use, how they’re being deployed, and how our rights are being protected.
In this effort, we’ve partnered with Councilwoman Sarah Parady, Councilwoman Serena Gonzales‑Gutierrez, and advocacy organizations, including the ACLU, to explore Fourth Amendment implications, learn from other cities, and identify best practices that balance safety and privacy.
We’ve put together a community presentation summarizing what we’ve learned, and we would love the opportunity to share these findings with Congress Park for All at one of your upcoming meetings. We find that the presentation, with room to answer questions, will take about 15 minutes. We look forward to connecting soon!
With Gratitude,
