Please see the case below.

Could someone from RTD please provide any information available regarding crash and delay Data on the RTD 10 route for the last 5 or 10 years?

If possible, please also provide information on a route like the 6 for comparison, since it utilizes 6th and 8th Avenues, which I believe, are cleared at Priority level A.

I've personally witnessed numerous issues in person and I'm trying to convey that to the decision makers.

Board Member Nicholson or Councilmember Hinds, maybe one or both of you could follow up as well.

Thank you in advance!

Respectfully,
Bryan Wilson

Hello,

Thank you for contacting the City & County of Denver on 12/28/2025 regarding your with the work completed by Public Works.
  • Issue: SM - Sand Request / Snow Plow
  • Resolution Comments: Referred to Management to take under advisement. Thanks
  • Description: Hello,

The RTD 10 Route through Congress Park, Cheesman Park, & Cap Hill is
    extremely icy.

Can we please get it treated like 13th & 14th Avenues are treated?

Over the years, I have seen multiple buses get stuck at bus stops like the
one located on 12th at Fillmore.

Unfortunately, to prevent this from happening, the RTD bus operator is
forced to stop in the street and not pull to the curb. In turn, this then
forces riders to have to navigate stepping down from the curb onto an icy
street which can be crowned quite significantly.

Also, the unprotected bike lanes in Denver continue to be an issue getting
them cleared of snow and ice.

I feel this is especially dangerous on the east and west running streets
that are shaded by buildings like the 11th Avenue bike lane in Cap Hill,
and the 12th Avenue bike lane in Congress Park.

I feel that it is crucial for DOTI to prioritize the RTD routes to be
cleared of snow and ice, the same as roadways like 13th and 14th Avenues
    are prioritized.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

    Respectfully,
    Bryan Wilson

Thank you!

Councilmember Hinds or Director Nicholson, could either of you make that request so that your office has the information?
Thank you,
