This needs to be somebody at DOTI working with someone at RTD, not me.

Please see the plans for 12th/Speer/Elati. 12th has been identified as a neighborhood Bikeway from there to Broadway.

If we're able to move the RTD bus route from 12th to 11th, then we can identify 12 as a Neighborhood Bikeway all the way to Corona.

The existing recommendation for 12th calls for a bike lane, which there isn't room and we've never successfully removed parking for bike lanes in Cap Hill.

Chris Nicholson, who at RTD would be best to connect to Greg Cieciek, who is the project manager for 12th/Speer/Elati?

Thank you everyone in advance for your help!

Respectfully,
Bryan Wilson

Hello,

Thank you for contacting the City & County of Denver on 12/20/2025 regarding your with the work completed by External Agency.
  • Issue: RTD
  • Resolution Comments: Thanks for contacting us. We do apologize but you would need to contact RTD directly at 303-299-6000 to discuss any possible route changes.
  • Description: Hello,

Requesting that the RTD 10 Route be shifted from 12th down to 11th Ave West
    of Downing/Corona.

It will better split the difference between the Colfax BRT & the 6 Route,
allowing the existing stops on Downing/Corona that act as transfers to the
12 Route, reducing the need for those with limited mobility to try to walk
or roll to the other stops.

11th is also wider in that part of Cap Hill making it better suited for a
bus route. We can also then focus on getting the 10 Route cleared of snow &
ice making that route a designated snow route for bikes as well.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

    Respectfully,
    Bryan Wllson

If you have further questions, please contact 311.

Thank You,

The City and County of Denver.
