I'm using the CheckPoint Smart Console and Smart View Tracker R61 to
current switch the active log files. I would like to schedule this to
happen weekly at a specific time. Is there a script or command line
option to swtich the active log that I could incorporate into a
schedule.

You can just edit the smartcenter's object.
Under "Logs and Masters" you have an option to schedule log switch.
Under "Logs and Masters" you have an option to schedule log switch.
