Have a look at http://www.opsec.com in the category content security.
Regular antivirus programs won't work with fw-1 because the cannot filter
the datastreams which go through the firewall. Chechkpoint has designed
CVP (Content Vector Protocol) especially for this purpuse, sow you
will need a CVP anti-virus server to integrate with your firewall,
e.g. Trend Interscan Viruswall, or.. ph look on the webpage.

have fun, Ewald...

We just implemented a Trend Micro Interscan Viruswall as a CVP server on
our Checkpoint wall. It works wonderfully! You can download a 30 day
evaluation copy from their web site. We're running the CVP server on a
separate Solaris 2.6 machine. The NT installation wouldn't complete for
some reason.

Good luck

Glad to hear Trend is working well for someone. We have been having
problems with it. However, we are running it on the firewall. Perhaps a
seperate CVP server makes the difference.

I'm using Norton Anti Virus for Firewalls as a CVP server with FW-1 4.x.
Works well.
NAV allows you schedule automatic virus signature file updates. It scans
HTTP,
FTP or SMTP.

We use Webshield SMTP from Network associates. We have been pretty happy as
it also does basic content filtering (by attachment extensions or text
strings), Anti-Spam Relay as well as virus scanning.

It sits on our exchange server and accepts all incoming and outgoing
internet mail. The overhead on the server does not seem that big either.

I think you should check out http://www.opswat.com/ there are 2 or 3 products that may be a match, I think that OESIS Framework at http://www.opswat.com/products/oesis-framework provides a single interface to many antivirus packages. Another option is I think Metascan at http://www.opswat.com/products/metascan which is more for ISV, I also found that many antivirus engines certified by OPSWAT at http://www.opswat.com/certified

I hope this helps.

Sandra
