ZIP task source variable, is the file location+name or content?

I am trying to pass a source variable which contains the fully
quallified file name for a file that I need to decompress however, the
ZIP task complains that the source is invalid.

However if I change the compression type to be FILE and setup a file
connection using an expression to get the file name from the variable
everything seems to be working.

This leads me to believe that source as variable actually refers to
the content of a compressed file and not the file location.

Is that true?

Antek,

That is true. When decompressing a file, you have to select as source
a file name, not a path. If the FILE compression type works, this
means you are trying to decompress a compression ONLY file (no tar).

Hi Jason,

What did change one week ago? Do you use package configuration and is there something that needs to be updated there? Btw can you send the exact error message?

I started to get an error this week from the cozyroc zip task that says Invalid connection. Do you have any suggestions on what could be causing this? The package works in my dev environment
