Salesforce Destination: Delete by external id

Hi,

I would like to perform a selective delete on a Salesforce Object by
externalID instead of the native ID.
From the SalesForce Destination component I can correctly set: Object,
Command=Delete and ExternalID.
On the ExternalColumns Tab I only see the 'Id' column.
Is it allowed to perform a Delete by ExternalID?
Is there a special procedure that I should follow?

Hi Alessandro,

Deletion by external id is not possible. You have to provide the Salesforce ID. Unfortunately it is limitation of the Salesforce API. For more information check these discussions:
