I am trying to upgrade the CozyRoc components in some SSIS packages from 1.6 to 1.7.  I am having issues with the Script Task Plus and the Data Flow Task Plus.

Are there any instructions that exists for upgrading?  For the data flow task plus it won't let me even open the dialog box for the properties or go to the data flow tab.

Hi Jason,

Which SQL Server do you want to use? Which VS version do you use?

Jason,

Which SSDT version do you use?

I am using the latest release SSDT 17.0 (April 2017).

When loading the packages I am trying to ugprade, the data flow task plus tasks are being converted to SSIS.Replacement tasks instead of staying as CozyRoc.PipeLine.  Unfortunately, changing the under laying XML back to CozyRock.PipleLine does not work.

Jason,

I recommend you don't use SSDT 17, especially when using COZYROC Data Flow Task Plus. This latest version includes modules for SQL Server vNext and all previous versions with DFT+ all impossible to edit from it.

I reverted back and tried one of them again.  This time I was able to change the Creation and Executable type to CozyRoc.SqlServer.SSIS.DataFlowTaskPlus13, which now allows me to pull up the dialog, how ever everything is disabled to setup the dynamic properties.

If I was to upgrade to Visual Studio 2017, would that help?  I tried to uninstall SSDT 17, and it won't let me unfortunately.

Jason,

Upgrading to VS 2017 will not help. In fact I don't think there is support for SSIS package design in VS 2017 yet.

I have everything reverted to the previous SSDT for Visual Studio 2015.  Everything is much better, thanks for your help.
