Hi there,
I got to Cozy as I was searching a faster alternative to OwnCloud on my Raspberry Pi. so the question is that if Cozy is kind of dropbox clone or not? I cant find any desktop clients around for file syncing, is there any?

regards,
Mohammad

Your best best for the moment is to use a standard WebDAV client.
(There are many available for all platforms!)

Desktop and Mobile clients "are coming".

RE "Dropbox-like" -- Well yes sort of and sort of not. CozyCloud is much more than just "File Storage" (that's just one aspect).

Think of CozyCloud like your own "Private Cloud" with "Private Data", "Private Apps" and "Private Sharing".

cheers

Thanks for the info, it would not be bad if you share your experience of such clients with me, maybe point out some which work best with cozy. It is very important for me that both client and server play so good together that the most out of raspberry pi is used for speed, thats where I have troubles with owncloud. what I expect is to have the choice of selecting one or multiple folder to be synced per client.

I know that CozyCloud is not only file storage but this is for now my worst dependency on external providers and I want to cut it off.

Mohammad

Hi !

As for now, the webdav server only support caldav & carddav but not webdav itself.

Regarding file synchronisation, the application cozy-files provide the web functionnalities and we are working on clients for Linux, iOS & Windows. They should be available by the end of february.

Thanks for the support,
Cheers,
Romain

Hello Mathieu,

If you are a Mac or a Linux User you can act as a super early adopter and already use it. With your feedback we could improve it quicker. What do you think about it?

Regards,

Frank
