Call for application & Abstract, Media climate change training workshop in The Gambia

Dear climate leaders,

 

We wish to invite you to apply for participation or host a training session at the capacity building workshop for media practitioners on climate change facts, Communication and strategies for adaptation. This workshop is organized by Global Unification The Gambia, with financial support from Action aid, The Gambia. It will be held in Tendaba Camp Kiang, LRR, from the 23-25 January 2012.

The workshop is intended to serve as a platform where local media persons can discuss, learn and share good practices about climate change, its effects, adaptations methods and their roles in climate change education, communication and public access to information. It will consist of informative sessions and skills-building sessions on climate change issues ranging from scientific knowledge to effective political advocacy.

Hi Ebrima,

I would like to apply to be a facilitator for the capacity building workshop for media practitioners in The Gambia at the end of this month. I attach the abstracts for possible training sessions. Please let me know if there is anything else you need me to submit, e.g. CV or travel documents. Also, while I should be able to get to The Gambia for the conference, I do live in South Africa. Is there any funding or accommodation available for international facilitators?
