Dear Coworking managers,

We are looking into making a stand alone application to manage the Betagroup Coworking Brussels, trying to get away from Excel hell.

The basic premises are that it must be opensource and self-hosted, with all frontend (website, members space, etc.) and backend (billing, communications, etc.) management done in the same app and automatising as many tasks as possible (e.g.: monthly billing.)

Right now we are looking at how to work with either Drupal, Wordpress or Nadine (a project specific to coworking spaces, which would need to work with one of the previous mentioned programs for the frontend part).

The ideal situation would be having just one of these programs working and doing all the work.

  1. Is any of you already using these programmes to manage your coworking space?
  2. What modules/extensions are you using?
Coworkingly yours,

Ryan Price

If you are evaluating Drupal, and you're hoping to be able to do room rentals, please check out the MERCI module (I believe it is an acronym).

Peace,

Great tip, thanks Ryan!

Is this a module you use yourself?

I don't personally have a use for it, but we will probably allow members to book rooms during regular business hours via the web at some point, and this is likely how I'd handle it.

Anyone running Cobot? I am playing with the trial and was planning to
use it for Coworking Oakland. It's very simple and to the point, I
like it.

Those of you with 24/7 access: how are you managing this?
