Hi Everyone,

I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Dan Davie and I am - with the
help of a couple of co-conspirators - preparing to launch a co-working
facility in sunny Tampa, FL. Our intention is to use my company (an
integrated marketing communications agency) as an anchor tenant in the
facility. After having worked in the Washington, DC market for more
than a decade, I was disappointed at the lack of community and idea
exchange among people in and outside of the technology community -
designers, developers, engineers, entrepreneurs, etc. We have tried
many different routes to engage with the local establishment to
embrace the co-working concept to no avail. So we're doing it
ourselves.

We are in the process of naming and finalizing a space. All the
information and discussions on this board, and others, have been
incredibly helpful as we work our individual business model and go-to-
market strategy. It's been a great inspiration that we can make this
happen in our local market. I promise to send more info as we get up
and running (with pictures).

Thanks again to everyone who is making co-working possible and keep
your eyes out for more from Tampa. Also, we are strong supporters of
the Passport discussion and would love to have folks who are traveling
through.

Best,

Dan

As one of Dan's co-conspirators I am just as excited as he is to get a
coworking space off the ground here in Tampa, I wanted to introduce
myself as well and thank everyone for the overwhelming amounts of
information you are willing to share!

I'm currently in the Miami, but considering a move back to the Tampa
area, and would definitely be interested in co-working. I don't follow
this Google Group very closely, so please add me to your list of those
interested - newsletter format would be fine.

Ken, I'll need to try to make it to one of your meetups some time. I
am also interested in potentially doing a co-working thing in the
Tampa area.
