Tracking Software?

Just out of curiosity, what do different coworking places use for
tracking software. I notice most have hours they have to keep track
of for meeting rooms, etc. Do you just keep track with an excel sheet
or do you use specific membership software?

We primarily use Google Calendar and upcoming.org. Both free and
pretty easy to use!

we use google calendar as well, but I'm working on pushing out a test of http://genbook.com/ which I believe Sandbox Suites is using? It looks pretty sharp, though not the most feature rich, its as close to what we've been talking about building for quite a while.

I've got some very specific ideas for a scheduling/reservations app, if anyone is interested in working with me on a prototype, hit me up off list.

Our meeting rooms each have a clipboard hanging on the door.  Remote users can access this by calling up and I'll walk over and read it to them or reserve it.  Simple and effective.  High uptime too.  :-)

Awesome. That was my same thought (stupid google groups, such a PITA
to change send-from emails):

Paper? Whiteboard? Using "software seems overly complicated/
corporate. If scheduling becomes a huge issue for us (needing remote
access to that info) we could always put it on BaseCamp or write a
quick Rails app...

+1 upcoming, we use google calendar for our conference space but I am
looking at genbook.

The space is on a "if it's not being used it's yours and free" so we
only have to manage events in the calendar. As far as meeting space is
concerned, we decided against it and just have informal sofa areas
scattered about as the overhead of managing and charging meeting space
just didn't seem to be the right thing for us.
