to Coworking
Hi everyone,

I just joined this group and want to thank you all, first and
foremost, for all the advice you have already posted. It is really
inspiring to see such collaborative efforts happening across the
globe.

I am living/working/studying in Washington, DC, where there (to my
knowledge) is yet to be a co-working space. I've been thinking that
this is something I'd like to start in the area, and already I can see
this group will be really helpful.

I am all about social enterprises, and would like to use a for-profit
co-working space to provide a venue for training inner-city youth on
technology, business, and entrepreneurship. I haven't looked into
whether the co-working margins would be high enough on their own to
subsidize this type of activity, yet. We shall see.

Other than that, I'm getting my master's in international science and
technology policy at GWU with a focus on businesses using technology
to reach the 'base of the pyramid' and also how entrepreneurs can use
technology to grow and have greater social impact.

Thanks for having such a robust group. I look forward to future
collaboration!
