Hi All,
In the recent thread related to "vendor participation" on this list, I heard a lot of references to the effect of "if they are here to help..." It occurred to me that many of you may not know how we help coworking spaces, which we definitely have and continue to do! So, here's how we do it:
1. Currently we manually refer all customers interested in coworking directly to the spaces they express interest in. We make a friendly email intro and operators take it from there. We are ready to automate this process. So, if you offer "first visit free" we will tell the customer that and connect you directly. NO FEES, NO COMMISSIONS, NO FOLLOW UP, NO NOTHING. We just want them to find you and visit as quickly as possible. We think "first visit free" helps reduce friction, but we can easily replace with whatever you want.
2. If you have private meeting rooms that you'll allow non-members to use and/or if you'll allow non-members to use your space for events, we find you customers who are not likely to find you. Example: How does $2000 for two weeks sound for a Fortune 1000 company to use a conference room to train four people? We never let price or commission get in the way, when the customers are small local businesses we frequently connect them directly to you. We're focusing on larger customers who often pay a premium and usually would not find you on their own. For example [free biz dev advice follows]: One of our most common contacts is a Fortune 1000 admin assistant. So... make sure all the big company C-Suite admins in your local area know about you!
Anyway... that's how we have helped and continue to help coworking spaces in a very real and direct way. We currently only have about 220 of you on our system, we'd like to get it over 1000 quickly. Whether you're on already or not, please complete the following quick survey to help us promote or better promote your space.
