moboff: Mobile Office is a new coworking service in Tokyo, Japan.
The concept was to combine multiple location around town with cloud
services to create a new "mobile office" workstyle.

Hello all. This is Nicolas from Tokyo. I've kept following this group, but haven't posted in a while.

We at moboff just renewed our site. Please have a look at: http://moboff.co.jp/en/ (the old site was moboff.jp, no .co.)

If anyone is ever in Tokyo, please get in touch with me and I'd be more than happy to show you around our facilities.

Best regards,
Nicolas

Are you guys working with a furniture company to create a "live show room" in Tokyo?

We started out as an internal project within an interior design/real estate consulting firm.
They do a lot of work with furniture companies, so we get a lot of free chairs and use our Harajuku space as a show room.

Our cafe also has some extraordinarily expensive glass. It's the type that is normally opaque, but become transparent when you flip a switch. This was also given to us for free from the glass company that wanted a showroom.

I like that. That's a potential revenue stream or cost saving angle
for coworking spaces. Designers get to showcase their new lines in an
end user environment that also provides feedback and ultimately PR. I
think this further opens the possibilities of coworking.
