Hi all.  It's been ages since any kind of laughable cat-herding attempt here, so my early Christmas gift to you is your shared mirth.

Most of us use one-to-one communication to invite others out to some shared desk. I made a twitter account to act as a semi-public way of communicating your intent to go to some place. I suggest following "@orlandocoworker", who will tweet never. But, if you want to fish for a new place to visit and sit with our tribe, then you can search for who's tweeted to there in the last few hours, and if any of the people you normally follow tweet to there then you'll see it in your stream.

You needn't text every Joe and Sally you have ever seen in the cafe, to invite them to that new place on the corner, and you can ignore it as much as you want and even meek people can do it.

I suggest tweets of the form "@orlandocoworker Unambiguous Coffee. Optional comment like 'until' or 'also with nontwitterer Foo'."

I own OrlandoCoworking.com - right now it is forwarded to http://wiki.coworking.com/w/page/16583640/CoworkingOrlando

We could put a widget of this search up on that URL, and a map to some decent places to work.

Do we have a Google Map of places to work?

If we weren't all such busy working professionals it would be fun to have a one day hackathon to build such a website.  Maybe with social network integrations for check-ins to know who in the group is where... something fancy.  :)
