Hey everyone,

After a lot of discussion, it seems like the best way to keep everyone up to date with their membership dues is to adopt the use of PayPal subscriptions.

Today, Jonathan and I took some time to revamp the Beehive's membership page to use subscriptions. So, it's simple: if you're a Beehive member, you need to be on a subscription.

Everyone pays on-time automatically; no nagging, no more stealthy balance build-up.

We have not made any changes to the underlying rates, and all payments will integrate with the systems that are currently in place.

We have, however, added default membership plans for $70 (1 day a week) and $115 (7 days per month) automatic payments. So if you're at Beehive 1 day per week or 7 days per month, you're all set. You can still pay for additional days as needed, but this eliminates the hassle of paying for individual days if you're in these categories.

Please setup a membership subscription now: http://beehivebaltimore.org/join

The bottom line is that we need to get our monthly subscription total up to at least $2,200 per month, which will cover our monthly rent and insurance costs. We can more than cover that balance if every member is on a subscription.

As always, any additional cash can go towards furniture, monitors, and awesomeness.

I believe this change synthesizes many of the good ideas discussed over the last few weeks and will go a long way towards keeping our income stream extremely stable.

And in the words of our friends at IndyHall, there are only two rules: 1) Don't be an a-hole, 2) Pay your membership dues.

Subscriptions will help a whole lot with #2, and we're sure you've got #1 covered. :)  Please let me or Jonathan know if you have any questions.

Best,
Dave
