Hello everyone!

Tinoosh Mohsenin, Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Computer
Engineering Department at University of Maryland Baltimore County
(UMBC), is looking to collaborate with a company on a MIPS
application. (Here is information on MIPS: http://www.mips.umd.edu/ )

Her research interests lie in the areas of high performance and low
power hardware design for digital signal processing, communication and
biomedical applications. She received her PhD from University of
California Davis. She has several publications and holds patents in
low-power processor design for communication technologies and has been
consultant to major telecommunication companies.

Her areas of expertise are:
1) algorithm and architecture enhancement
2) low power programmable and special-purpose processor design
3) Many-core chip design
4) reconfigurable hardware for digital signal processing and
communication workloads.

Recent projects include;
1) Low power error correction and digital signal processing methods
for biomedical applications which are targeted for both implanted and
body-worn devices
2) Very high performance for error correction chip for 10 Gigabit
Ethernet standard which was patented due to its low power operation 3)
High performance many-core programmable DSP chip design which has 167
processors and is targeted for computationally intensive communication
applications including wired and wireless communications, multimedia,
medical imaging, and synthetic aperture radar.

If you are interested or know someone who will be interested please
feel free to directly follow up with her. She will be happy to discuss
about your projects and possible collaboration. More information in
found in http://www.csee.umbc.edu/~tinoosh/. If you are interested in
further discussion please contact her via email: tin...@umbc.edu .

Thanks!
